Infection Control

Overview

The Infection Control course will provide an introduction to infection and prevention control and teach you how to protect vulnerable individuals against infections. If you wish to further your understanding of health and infection control, this course is a great starting point for you. Statistics reveal that up to 300,000 people develop a Health Care Associated Infection every year. These are high numbers and can lead to damage to both patients and staff on your watch. Additionally, the centre or location it occurred will also be put into question, with doubts arising of their safety control measures. When the proper preventive measures are implemented, it will ensure infection control and people in this environment will be safeguarded at all times.

Key modules will be fully explored on the appropriate steps to take to stop infections from spreading, and how to handle a breach. Individuals working in a care environment will find this course highly beneficial as it focuses completely on the importance of infection and control measures.

The Infection Control course features practical guidance and advice on how to prevent exposure to microorganisms, learning to deal with spillages, exploring policies and legislation and implementing effective cleaning procedures. This is a CPD certified course which demonstrates to potential employers that you are continually developing yourself, and will make you a desirable candidate across the care sector.
