Diploma in Pathogen Studies at QLS Level 4

Overview

Pathogens are bacteria, virus or other microorganisms that have the potential to cause mild or deadly diseases. They can be present in water bodies, animals, humans and various other surfaces and can simply pass onto other living beings by the merest of contacts. Therefore, it is important for each and every human being to be aware of the various pathogens and their sources to take appropriate measures and this Diploma in Pathogen Studies at QLS Level 4 (USA Standards) has been formulated exactly for this purpose.

Although the existence of pathogens in water will be briefly addressed, this course mainly focuses on the pathogens that exist in human blood and hence, is the ideal program for individuals aspiring to get into or progress within the health care industry. This course will educate you on the various sources of pathogens, followed by modules that will enlighten you on the proper protocols to clean up blood-containing fluids.

This course will further discuss the importance of personal protective equipment when it comes to preventing transmission of pathogens. This course has also dedicated a few modules that will explore the steps that has to be taken when exposed to pathogens and on the risks of blood pathogens to improve your expertise in caring for people.
