Overview

First aid is very important when working in animal care. It is also something that pet owners should pay close attention to. What if there is an emergency with your pet? How would you handle it in the vital moments before taking your pet to the vet? It is key that you know exactly what is required during a pet emergency, and the Animal First Aid – Level 3 is designed to teach you just that. It is a comprehensive and practical course that equips you with the right skills and understanding of how to handle a pet emergency, keep your pet safe and alive and safeguard during a pet accident.

The course will get you acquainted with the responsibilities pertaining to pet first aid.  Key topics will be explored such as common health issues in domestic pets, tips for pet owners when medicating pets, basic first aid for animals, routine health care for animals and rehabilitation of domestic animals. Each module will be discussed in-depth to ensure the learner gains a complete understanding of the subject matter.

The Animal First Aid – Level 3 will give you a firm understanding of first aid for animals and how to appropriately respond in such a scenario. Qualifying in this course will open the door to progressing in a career in the animal care industry.
