Mental Health Awareness

Overview

Mental health is often discussed as something that is as important as physical health, which it is. Many people suffer from mental health issues at certain points in their life, some suffer for prolonged periods, while others just experience short depressive episodes. This course is highly beneficial to anyone who is working in health and social care, as well as individuals who wish to study this subject and enhance their understanding. The Mental Health Awareness course will focus on mental health illness and mental health and the difference between the two. You will learn to understand mental health on a broader scale, recognise mental health symptoms and how individuals with either condition can be treated with the best treatment options.

It is important that mental health is recognised and awareness is raised on this issue. Key modules will be explored fully on how to provide support to patients with mental health problems. You will learn to exercise empathy and tactfulness when dealing with such individuals, while enabling them to overcome their problems and go onto to lead happier and healthier lives.

The Mental Health Awareness course features practical tips and advice on how to tackle a range of mental health issues in patients who are in your care. You will gain practical advice on how to effectively work with individuals affected by this condition. This is a CPD certified course which demonstrates to potential employers that you are continually developing yourself, and will make you a desirable candidate across the health and care sectors.
