It is the responsibility of the employer and employee to use display screen equipment safely as upheld by this legislation. If you regularly use screen equipment and want to further your knowledge, Display Screen Equipment Awareness will teach you how to use the equipment in the context of the ‘user’. The user is referred to a person who uses display screen equipment more than an hour a day. Display screen equipment is not limited to the computer monitor but also includes laptops, television, smartphones, tablets and portable diagnostic screens. There can be disadvantages to using display screen equipment regularly from pain in the back, neck and shoulder to even fatigue and eyestrain. The Regulation Act (1992) aims to protect people who work with DSE and ensures that every employer performs a sufficient and suitable assessment of computer workstations. In order to qualify in the course ‘Display Screen Equipment Awareness’ successfully, learners will take an online test. This online test is marked automatically, so you will receive an instant grade and know whether you have passed the course.
Pass Mark: 70%
Special Note:
You are given 3 attempts at each module. If a module is failed on the third attempt, it will become locked and you need to contact us for the module to be unlocked again. You are only permitted up to 3 extra attempts per course.
Learners can take the exam up to 3 times, and if not successful, should repay the course fee and start again.
Upon the successful completion of the course, you will be awarded the ‘Display Screen Equipment Awareness’ Certificate by IIRSM.
Access Duration
The course will be directly delivered to you, and you have 12 months access to the online learning platform from the date you joined the course. Â The course is self-paced and you can complete it in stages, revisiting the lessons at any time.
