The course covers a broad range of the essential microbiology, it was very informative. Even if you have a degree, it is a very good refresher. This can be used to show your initiative in going out and doing some voluntary learning, which is good for continuous personal development that a lot of employers look for.
Not for the faint hearted. A pretty comprehensive content in the course. I was very impressed with the teaching. Thank you.
I’m impressed. An excellent microbiology course. Expect your learning to be seriously tested. I advise taking notes as you go along. At least at the end of each module.
I’m very impressed. I learnt a fair bit about bacterial types & behaviours. I didn’t work my way through entire syllabus, no one really likes the full gorey detail of diseases? But, its packed with technical terms and ideas. From beginning, its the best teaching I’ve ever received. The exam wasn’t easy. But, I made notes of all I remembered from course night before. That stimulated my memory. Though I didn’t access the details during the test. I used proper exam conditions. I would say to potential students, have a large notebook and pens to hand. It is an intense course.
It provides a lot of medical knowledge, especially related to pathogens and infections. Lack of subtitles is the only serious disadvantage I can think of. I would also add one full module for cell metabolism, and maybe one more for genetic to make this course really juicy. In total though – cool, even if little scaring experience. I’m glad I took it.
Totally worth it, I do wish there were some written/reading parts to this course. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the lessons.
