Overview

Once you complete the British Sign Language Foundation Level certification, the next step is the Advanced Certificate in British Sign Language at QLS Level 3, which you can progress to if you want to advance your understanding of British sign language. With this qualification you can gain employment in the educational sector, you can take on a teaching role, or you can learn sign language for yourself. The course will teach you to express feelings and emotions effectively. You will be introduced to key modules in a training video series. This comprehensive course will teach you to express yourself in sign language within the right context. You will learn the basic fundamentals of sign language, and be able to converse on various topics including people, animals, travel, colours, weather and clothes. The Advanced Certificate in British Sign Language at QLS Level 3 is useful to anyone who wants to gain experience working in the deaf and mute community, and learners who have an engaging interest in sign language.

The course will focus on basic concepts in sign language such as grammar and vocabulary.  In addition, you will learn to communicate your opinions on different topics like shopping, spending, leisure activities and health.

This Advanced Certificate in British Sign Language at QLS Level 3 is the perfect course if you want to work in this field, or enhance your knowledge on the subject. The course will help you become fluent in British sign language. It is a practical course and will largely improve your proficiency at using it in any situation.

The Quality Licence Scheme, endorses high-quality, non-regulated provision and training programmes. The completion of this course alone does not lead to a regulated qualification but may be used as evidence of knowledge and skills gained. The Learner Unit Summary may be used as evidence towards Recognition of Prior Learning if you wish to progress your studies in this subject. To this end the learning outcomes of the course have been benchmarked at Level 3 against level descriptors published by Quality Licence Scheme, to indicate the depth of study and level of demand/complexity involved in successful completion by the learner.

Access Duration

The course is delivered through a system that you will have access to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and for 365 days (12 months). As this is an online course, you have no set timetable and can study at your own pace. Move through the modules as fast or slow as you wish, and return to previous sections at any point.

This online course is assignment-based with learners being assessed upon the submission of a series of assignments. Once you successfully submit the assignments, students will gain a professional qualification. The assignments must be submitted to the instructor through the online learning portal. The assignments will be reviewed and evaluated, with feedback provided to the student on how well they have fared.

Please Note: Additionally, a total of £49 is charged for the assessment and certificate, and you need to pay that when submitting your assessments only (It is not required to pay initially upon registering). This payment can be made in 02 installments.

Those who successfully complete the course will be issued the Advanced Certificate in British Sign Language at QLS Level 3 by the Quality Licence Scheme.
